Cogs Club

A COGS session consists of a full day of activity, stimulation, music and fun for a person with mild dementia or memory problems. The weekly sessions last for as long as a member can benefit from stimulation.
COGS also provides the family/carer with a day's respite. The criteria for joining the club is that each member is able to participate actively in the activities, is self-caring and has the willingness to be part of the group

Déjà Vu Café

Shepway Volunteer Centre run a fortnightly cafe for people with memory concerns or dementia and for the people who care for them. It is an opportunity for people to relax with others in similar circumstances and to obtain information and advice about local support services. A social club for isolated older people, Centre Club, alternates with the cafe on Friday mornings at the Centre

Forget Me Nots Kent

The Forget Me Nots are a group of around 20 people with dementia from across east Kent who are active within KMPT. The group aims to help people with dementia get their voices heard. The Forget Me Nots meet monthly to discuss issues relating to dementia, speak to those newly diagnosed, help with staff recruitment, help raise awareness of dementia and advise the Trust on service developments and patient information
