Patient will be accepted if they have been referred by their GP for treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and who have also:

  1. Tried nocturnal splinting for at least 8 weeks under their GP’s supervision
  2. Had a positive nerve conduction study (NCS) carried out at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital
  3. Had their referral managed and then booked with the Provider through the Referral Management Centre (see above for details)

Self-referrals cannot be made.  Patients will also not be accepted if they have had a negative nerve conduction study.  (For the avoidance of doubt, negative in this context means that surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome was not indicated)
